And that’s about it really. It is ‘Love Island’ but without the frills if clothes are frills, time and storylines. And the curious thing that struck me about it initially is the familiar faces. Turns out that of course they’ve used a lot of second and third time round dating show folk who have done the ‘looking for lurve ‘ thing on TV all before. The nakedness is pretty indifferent in a way and in fact does them no favours. And the time crunch they seem to be under is ridiculous. At least ‘Love islanders’ have a bit of time…unlike this lot who seem to have 48 hours and less to couple up. And somehow as it goes on Rylan comes across as quietly sleazy. This came as a surprise. All in all…put your clothes back on. For all that they insist they’re totally fine with being naked but it doesn’t add to the format. (Plus, having ‘seasoned’ players really didn’t help.)
